Texas Pen - Mesquite and Cactus

This beautiful pen is completely hand-turned and made from mesquite and prickly pear. These two items, wood from the mesquite tree (Prosopis) and prickly pear cactus (Opuntia), are harvested in south Texas and combined to create this truly unique keepsake. The colors are completely natural.

Prickly pear cactus is processed, thorns and all, then dehydrated and processed again. It's then combined with a resin base to make it permanent and durable. Pieces of prickly pear clearly can be seen in the center part of the pen.The pen uses the standard Cross® pen refills.
