The Great San Saba River Company Chocolate Pecan Pie-in-a-Jar
This Chocolate Pecan Pie-in-a-Jar creates the most mouth watering pie you'll ever eat...it's easy and no one will EVER know it came from a jar! And it will also make a mighty fine gift that's guaranteed to be a HUGE hit!
Chocolate Pecan Pie Preparation:
Remove jar lid and microwave for one minute (this allows the filling to come out easily)
In a large mixing bowl beat 3 eggs with a fork for one 9" deep dish pie shell or use 4 eggs for two regular 9" pie shells. Beat just until the egg yolks and whites are mixed.
Add 4 T melted butter or margarine
Stir the filling into the mix with a fork until it's well blended.
Lick fork (okay, I just added that)
Pour mix into prepared pie crust mix
Bake a 9" deep pie crust at 300 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes or two regular 9" pie crusts at 300 degrees for 50 minutes.
Shake the pie slightly for doneness - the center should move like set jello.
The pie will fall slightly after removing from the oven so carefully level the nuts over the top.
Cool overnight or at least for four hours.
We also have the Pecan Pie-in-a-Jar that is equally yummy!
